Job description

We currently have a need for full-time experienced Lead Foreman Electricians for work in Indianapolis, Indiana! We are basically looking for someone that can take lead and run a crew of about 5 to 6 Apprentice.

Primary Responsibilities can include: Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and parts such as control panels, motor control centers, switchgears, transformers, bending conduit rigid and, EMT etc. You will need to know how to read prints, layout Apprentices and work alongside. This position requires extensive knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations along with managing a crew and doing the necessary paperwork. Must be professional, technical, and mechanically proficient in all you do day in and day out.

 

Skills needed from the Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous industrial electrical experience

  • Previous supervision experience from 1–10-man crews.

  • Ability to supervise and train employees to ensure a professional craftsman’s installation of electrical system on all your projects.

  • Proficient with knowledge of bending conduit, threading, and operating benders such as Greenlee 555, 854 and 881 Hydraulic table benders

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, circuit schematic drawings, and understand lay out specification for lighting, electrical wiring, equipment, and devices.

  • Previous experience installing cable tray in various sizes. Standards for bonding, grounding, and expansion

  • Previous experience performing installation, troubleshooting and terminations of various equipment.

  • Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or devices using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

  • Possess good mathematics skills

  • Safety first to ensure compliance with all appropriate safety procedures ad adhere to OSHA safety regulations, and the National Electric Codes.

  • Team player-work weekends, and overtime at times

  • Completed work should be neat in appearance and operate properly

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

Job requirements

  • 5 years of verifiable commercial electrical experience 

  • Ability to install all sizes of conduit (EMT, Rigid etc..)

  • Ability to be professional and accountable

  • Safety minded and drug free at all times

  • Must have reliable transportation and hand tools

  • OSHA 30
